Rowley Jefferson is also one of the main characters of Diary of a wimpy kid, who is one of the best friends of Greg although Greg views him as immature and ignorant. He has a larger than average frame. He is always following Greg and willing to do what he tells him, including dangerous things. Rowley Jefferson goes on vocations most of the time, which makes Greg annoyed by this. Jefferson is a loyal friend of Greg, but he sometimes behaves like an immature or childish type boy. He also put on an unusual dress.
Jefferson gets a note that says he is kinda cute because of his pimple from all the girls :P, but Greg is a bit jealous of his pimple so he writes a fake letter to him ;). In Dog Days (Book 4), Rowley and Greg separate, and Greg know that he and Rowley Jefferson will no longer be friends, but they got back together at the end of The Ugly Truth(Book 5).
At the end of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Rowley eats “The cheese,” a secret that only Greg and a small group of teenagers know about that. Rowley Jefferson has what Greg considers strange interests for his age and gender, such as liking a singer for “six-year-old girls” named “Joshie”, and the Dino Blazer action figures he receives as a birthday present, which is supposed to be toys for young boys for the age of 7, which show that R.Jefferson has not really grown up.
Rowley Jefferson appears in the fifth book( The Ugly Truth), but his friendship with Greg deteriorates. Eventually, they make up. Like Greg, he dislikes Fregley. Rowley Jefferson also is the owner of the comic strip Zoo Wee Mama, which was originally Greg’s idea, and they both worked on it. However, Greg gives up to start his own comic strip and hands Zoo Wee Mama to Rowley Jefferson, and it becomes a success. After that, however, Rowley Jefferson claims that Greg had nothing to do with the comic strip. In the movie series, Rowley Jefferson is portrayed by Rob Capron.
